FAQ.

How many meals do I get for the weekly service? The standard service is set up for 3-4 meals of 3-4 portions each.  The service can usually be scaled up or down to suit your needs.
How does the service work? Each week I send out an email with menu options that suit you and your families needs. You respond back with your choices and on the scheduled cook day I arrive with all the ingredients to prepare the agreed upon menu. Most clients also often request an item previously served or a family favorite recipe along with my suggestions. The food is then stored with reheating instructions and your kitchen is left just as I found it.
How much does it cost? The cost varies depending on the needs of the clients. Feel free to inquire with your needs for a quote.
What areas do you travel to?  I currently only serve Manhattan for weekly meals.
How often can I use the service? You can use it 1-2 times weekly, bi-weekly or as needed.  But keep in mind other customers are locked in with recurring cook days and I may not be able to always fit you in if you schedule on a as needed basis.
What if I need to cancel?  You can cancel the service up to 48 hours of the scheduled cook day.  There is a charge for any cancellations within that 48 hour window.
What type of food do you prepare?  The weekly menu consists of food from a variety of cuisines highlighting as much seasonal, local and organic produce, seafood and meats as possible.
Do you cook in my kitchen and do I have to be home for the service? I prepare everything in your kitchen and you do not have to be home for the service.  However, prior arrangements need to be made in advance so that I can gain access to your home.
Where do you shop? I shop primarily using Fresh Direct, Whole Foods and supplement with your neighborhood farmers market or grocer.  I keep a set of pantry items shared among clients (specialty ingredients, spices, etc.) so as not to clutter up your kitchen cabinet with ingredients.
How long is the service?  I am at your home usually for 3-4 hours start to finish.  That time varies depending on the type of service you require.
How long will the food last?  Most of the dishes will last up to 4-5 days, menu choices that include seafood should be eaten within 2 days generally.
What type of storage containers and kitchen equipment do I need?  A mix of both oven safe glass and plastic food containers are best.  During the consultation I can suggest recommended storage containers and also  I will have a list of kitchen supplies/equipment that are needed to best complete the service.  A recommendation to supplement your storage containers, and/or equipment before the first scheduled cook day is a possibility.
Are there any pantry items I need to keep in stock?  I simply require you to have at least 3-4 cups of both Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Canola Oil (or your preferred cooking oils) in stock.  I bring all other necessary ingredients with me.
How am I billed? I can accept checks, credit/debit, paypal or bank transfers.  We can agree upon a billing system that is most convenient for you.
